How to use One-Minute Cards:

Whether you're teaching one-to-one or in a group, these cards are simple to adapt:

In one-to-one lessons: Select a few cards and ask your student to complete the tasks during the lesson or as a warm-up.

In group lessons:

• Put students in pairs and give each pair one or more cards to complete and discuss.
• Alternatively, give each student a different card to work on individually, then have them pair up to compare and check answers.

This set can be used when you introduce the difference between the tenses, or revisited throughout the year to strengthen understanding and avoid fossilised errors.

Encourage full-sentence answers and follow-up questions. You can also extend the tasks into short discussions to give students more speaking practice using both tenses naturally.

Who is it for?

This set is intended for use with students at levels A1 and above, adults and older teenagers.
