Discuss it with - make vs do is a set of statements for discussion designed to help students practise phrases with do and make in a natural, communicative way.
I rarely do / make a plan when I travel because I prefer to be spontaneous.
Telling someone a difficult truth can sometimes do / make more harm than telling a small lie.
It’s impossible to make / do good in the world without making someone unhappy.
Students read a statement, choose the correct verb to complete it and discuss whether they agree or disagree.
While responding, they should actively use the highlighted phrases to explain their opinion and react to their partner’s ideas.

How to use this set:
