Each lesson gives students the opportunity to learn something new and unexpected while practising their English skills through:

• reading or listening
• speaking
• writing
• vocabulary

The lessons are flexible and can be tailored to your students' needs. You can remove certain activities or assign them as homework. Each section is designed to work independently, allowing you to adapt the lesson flow, change the order, or skip parts altogether.

Additionally, each set comes with an audio recording of the text. This allows you to choose between listening or reading comprehension, especially helpful if students haven't had a chance to read the text in advance.

This lesson is based on a real town in the USA, where all the residents live in one building that houses everything they need - shops, services, and homes.

• Comprehension Questions – 6 questions to test understanding
• Vocabulary – an activity for pairing words with their definitions
• Vocabulary Activity – an exercise for replacing words with new vocabulary
• Vocabulary in Speaking – an activity where students incorporate new words into a speaking task
• Situation - an activity where students brainstorm ideas and solutions
• Discussion Questions – 10 thought-provoking questions related to the topic of the text
• Retell – an activity where students summarise the text in their own words
• Writing Tasks – 3 writing prompts on the topic of the text

• Teacher Notes – Instructions and tips for each section
• PDF of the Text – A separate file for students to read at home
• MP3 Recording of the Text – Use this for listening comprehension, pronunciation practice, or as an alternative for students who haven't read the text beforehand.
